The jeering of Lanzini was shameful from the best supporters in the world

Arthur was ok yesterday. Not a worldbeater but better at wide left than left back.

He's looking up and there's nothing in front of him.
Yes. Have a pop at Lanzini put to slag Arthur of is a lazy old comment.

who comes out for Antonio then??

Allison only really had saves to make at 0-2........... goes to show what you can do when you finally decide trying to score might be a good idea.

Highlight of the game for me was anti board flag out for a full 15/20 mins in 154 well done to all involved that had the club in a right state trying to decide what to do about it
Low light was seeing so many half and half scarfs just beaten by so many Liverpool fans in home sections and west ham fans not complaining about it

`Arthur was ok`

Did him and Nobes get an assist for the Red Scouse 2nd goal??

He's the biggest NO END PRODUCT I have ever seen... fucking useless

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Liverpool - Official Match Thread
Fucking hell it wasn't that bad.

Pretty sure Allison had just as much to do as Fabianski.

They got a pen and hit us on the break.

Fornals in for Lanzini. Antonio up top with Haller.
Kid at RB could save us 15 million.
Arthur was ok. You know when he gets into crossing positions there isn't anybody for him to cross to. Haller seems shit in the air.

`Soucek won't make a great deal of difference IMO. He's not got pace but is another big lump to throw forward when we are hoofing it`.

Yup thought that ... the only way we look threatening at the mo is Snodgrass pinging over a free kick or a corner and praying we get a head on it...

Bishop... you know what... it just shows the complete and utter apathy within the club that the fans are happy with a 0-2 damage limitation exercise ... and you know what... I bet the manager is as well...

no-one is suggesting 'all out attack' but you have to offer a threat. even if you dont score you need to be able to get down the other end of the pitch.
its pointless just having Haller miles from anyone and constantly giving away posession.

First half before the pen we created the better chances.

Against a team thats won every game apart from 1 and not lost what do people expect from that squad and David Moyes after losing to a championship team at home at the weekend?

Northern

Yes they didn’t get out of 1st gear but as said anything could have happened. Chances are chances and we had them. What good would have it done getting beat 6or 7 ? We don’t have the ability to go at them we are shit.

What’s better today then coming into a 2 nil having had a few almost goals or being beaten heavily? No loss is good but with what we have squad / team wise due to the owners it’s a better loss. Goal difference could be key.

We need to realise just how bad we are why a state we are in. The players don’t want to be there and the players that are there are not good enough in certain areas. Combine that with Moyes being back and the fans anger it’s a dreadful mix.

A drab training session is exactly all it was.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Liverpool - Official Match Thread
If pen gets ruled out for Firmino handball and we take one of our decent chances and nick a point would people moan about the approach to the game?

Thought we did ok, Lanzini is toilet and Arthur is fucking braindead but apart from that thought we looked organised. Haller looked a little sharper and Ngakia i thought was very impressive.

Our issue lies with no fucking pace. The amount of times we break forward and theyre waiting for a runner to play the ball too and that runner never comes. We are so slow on the break you will never get anywhere in prem with Snodgrass, Noble and Haller leading counter attacks. We need a pacy striker or winger on loan next day or two.

Our other issue is quality on the ball, particuarly from Cresswell and Noble. So many times the ball falls to them and they just volley it up in the air or lump it back to their CB's. Noble needs to be replaced again you cant do well in the prem with someone as poor as him on the ball in the middle.

Brighton is stay up or get relegated for me. We have to win to stay up its that simple.

Ngakia keeps his place. Antonio for Noble. Snodgrass in middle with Rice. Fornals for Lanzini.

all of us would love west ham to go all out and attack liverpool last night but the problem is we're so deep in the shit we literally can't afford to ruin the goal difference.

given all the relegation candidates' run ins, staying up could depend on GD this season.

"If we had took the game to them too much then it would have played into their hands "

i'd say given the choice they'd much rather chose the training exercise we provided for them. no pressure, no threat, just a waiting game until they break us down.

i know which i'd prefer to play against.

Frankly we'll get no better with Moyes and Allardyce types. It's negative football using limited footballers abilities. This was always going to happen the minute he was appointed.

Unfortunately the 'project' with building an attacking passing team was massively flawed as we built a team with no power or pace that want an age on the ball. Might have worked in other leagues around the world but not in the Premier League.

Soucek won't make a great deal of difference IMO. He's not got pace but is another big lump to throw forward when we are hoofing it. He's Nobles replacement really.

We need a proper scouting structure that looks at the exact attributes that we need to balance the team and not just built on agent offers, their youtube clips, age and potential resale values.
You don't need a team of world stars to play good football, just a style and plan to implement it.

`One of the chances goes in and it’s a different game`.

Yup… I’d imagine LFC would have got out of second gear and taken the game seriously…

That was as near to a `professional’ training session as you will see… the only time we looked remotely dangerous was when they got sloppy… it was their mistakes rather our creativity that caused Allison to be worked.. we was set up for damage limitation full stop… keep the goal difference down so we don’t have the psychological element of dropping into the relegation zone before the Brighton game… it was a Non game..

Bishopsfinger 11:40 Thu Jan 30
Re: ⚽ West Ham v Liverpool - Official Match Thread
Salzburg we ain’t. If we had took the game to them too much then it would have played into their hands and been harder to stay in the game. We did stay in the game and Moyes was hoping we could and get a goal. As said if we were still in it we had a chance.

The goals came from breaks after attacking well at least one did. They would have done that time and time again if we went on the front foot. We don’t have a team capable of doing that as we are shit

There isn't, we are fucking shit and Liverpool are the best team in the league.

More damaged limitations than anything.

There's absolutely nothing to be remotely positive about, not one ounce of silver lining to make me literally cling onto hope.

Do you think these players don’t speak to eachother and have contacts within the club?

What’s it like at West Ham? Well the team is ducked , the owners are a joke, the stadium is shit and the fans hate the owners and everything. Ok where do I sign?

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Liverpool - Official Match Thread
Our owners are a joke and the players see this a Mickey Mouse outfit where they can just earn a wage each week.

No ambition or drive to win in this team.
